From a song/theme by Elizabeth Cotten. I heard her explain in a live recording that she heard some guy playing a tune when she was young, outside of the church she came out of at the time. She in her version played what she remembered and my version is kind of the same playing bits i remembered. She was born in the late 19th century so i figure this kind of tune/melody has very old roots and origins, and i feel it has an ancient essence that remains although the original song has been lost.

I particularily like the melody how they shift around the chords and feel its all quite lyrical in relation to the title, and find myself making up words to it alot perhaps like it could have been ...
