Written and recorded by Mississippi born Memphis musician Frank Stokes in 1929.

My friend Paul Clarkson put us onto this and we kind of figured its an 11 bar blues, quite unique in structure, tho i think Memphis Minnie did something similar by dropping a bar in her 'Drunken Barrelhouse Blues' ... Both had Memphis connections as did Bo Carter who eventually settled there and as a city has a major connection with the coming together of different styles in the roots of blues in the 20's and also 20th Century music. I find this intruiging perhaps how it may be related down the line from Memphis Egypt ... Played in standard tuning with C shapes.
